Biography:

Ronnie Tjampitjimpa was born in Tjiturruya, Western Australia. His family moved to Haasts Bluff in the 1950’s to escape harsh droughts.  They later moved to Papunya where Ronnie was exposed to the beginnings of the Aboriginal Art movement.  Ronnie has become one of Papunya Tula’s leading artists.  Ronnie’s work depicts the Pintupi style of strong circles or rectangles, joined by connecting lines depicting the people, the country and the Dreamtime.
