Biography:

Peggy Purvis Petyarre was born at Utopia, Northern Territory and is part of the Anmatyerre tribe.  Peggy’s sisters are Annie, Angela and Susan Pununga.  Peggy is also related to renowned artist Gloria Petyarre.

Peggy paints a variety of dreaming, including kangaroo dreaming, pumpkin dreaming and bush tucker dreaming.

‘Bush Tucker Dreaming’ is an aerial depiction of Peggy’s country.  Peggy paints the abundance of bush berries found throughout the region.

Peggy paints captivating and inspiring landscapes with intricate dotting layers which gives the presence of a multi-dimensional, contemporary work of art.
