Biography:

Norma Kelly was born in Mt. Liebig, Northern Territory.  In 1980, Norma moved to Papunya, Northern Territory.  Norma is the daughter of renowned artist Lily Kelly Napangardi.  Norma along with the other children in her tribe would spend their days with her Grandmother, who would teach them how to apply body paints and then later how to dance.  The female tribal elders would also take the children for walks and show them where they could find bush medicines, bush tucker and bush flowers.  Norma also spent a lot of time watching her mother Lily Kelly paint.
Norma began painting professionally in 2006.  Norma paints ‘Spring Flowers’ and ‘Sand Hills‘ both of which are family stories.
