Biography:
Lily Kelly Napangardi is a senior law woman of the Watiyawanu community at Haasts Bluff, Northern Territory. Lily began painting for Papunya Tula Artists in 1986. Lily’s works are in many major private as well as public collections throughout the world. In 1986 Lily won the Northern Territory Art Award. Her stories are Women’s Dreaming and are associated with Kunayarri. Her work is an innovative interpretation of these stories depicting her country and the sand hills.
